Ieri si è tenuto l'incontro su "Lo stato dell'arte del Cinema Indipendente" con Luigi De Luca (Vicepresidente Apulia Film Commission), Francesca Muci (Regista e Assessore del Comune di Nardò), Alessandro Acito (Regista e Direttore del Doc Village Festival). Ha aperto l'incontro l'Assessore Caterina Loparco del Comune di Cisternino. Già dalle prime battute è emersa una questione semantica legata al significato di Cinema Indipendente in Italia. De Luca, infatti ha evidenziato come, di fatto, non esiste una differenza fra un tipo di Cinema (quello delle Majors per interndersi) e quello indipendente, poichè entrambi non possono etichettarsi come realmente "indipendenti" poiche in parte sono finanziati con soldi pubblici. De Luca, al contrario proponeva una possibilità di differenziare i due tipi di Cinema utilizzando l'avverbio "necessario". Esiste cioè un Cinema Necessario che racconta il mondo e la società in un certo modo indispensabile, quindi per dare la possibilità di pensare e di riflettere, e un Cinema d'Intrattenimento che invece assolve a una differente funzione di svago e di divertimento.
I registi Muci e Acito, hanno dato una suggestiva panoramica della produzione documentaristica, raccontando le proprie esperienze di lavoro nella direzione filmica.
Dopo l'incontro una pioggerellina che presagiva un temporale ha costretto l'organizzazione a sospendere le proiezioni procrastinandole in altra data da destinarsi.
